(Cushing, Okla.) Jim Pickard, President of the local Cushing Chapter of Lions Club International, called the meeting to order today at 12:18 p.m. The agenda started with song and pledge by Lion Jerry Snyder. This was followed by prayer requests for Jim Wells, Ami Whitlow Brown and Teresa (Valley Hope) along with prayer by Russ Thurman.

Lions welcomed Don Ethridge’s nephew Kyle as a guest today’s at the noon meeting.

 

Club members were reminded that today was Jr. Olympics and Cinco de Mayo.

 

Lion Tom Cummings attended the Lions convention in Tulsa on April 25th and April 26th (2015) and was recognized for being Lion of the Year.

 

The Lions Club has several other activities scheduled for the near future: Project White Cane is next weekend, May 7th to 11th (2015), High School Baccalaureate at 7 (p.m.) on May 10th (2015),

May 23rd (2015) is alumni weekend and the Lions Pancake Breakfast.

 

The meeting adjourned around 12:26 (p.m.).
