Leroy Tinnie, a longtime Cushing resident passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 64. 

Graveside services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2010 at Lawson Cemetery, Yale.  Brother Mich Dershem will officiate.

Leroy was born on July 1, 1946 in Cushing, Oklahoma to the late Marion and Vina (Flippo) Tinnie.  He grew up in Cushing and attended Cushing schools.  Leroy attended the Salvation Army Church.  Leroy married the love of his life Kathleen Herring on March 23, 1969 in Stillwater, Ok. He served in the Army during the Vietnam conflict.  He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and tinkering in the yard.  Leroy drove a truck for a number of years.  The most important part of his life was spending time with his family.

Leroy is survived by his wife Kathleen Tinnie of the home, son Michael Tinnie and wife Angie of Cushing, daughters Deborah Tinnie and husband Randol McElyea of Sherman, Tx., Rebecca Tinnie and husband Vance Reidling of Van Alstyne, Tx., sister Terrica Lynch of Cushing, brother-in-law Philip B. Ingram of Morrison, Ok, Daivd Herring of Stillwater, sister-in-law Sandra Troxtell of Rye, Co., grandchildren Maddison McElyea, Tristan Tinnie and Jeremy Tinnie, Joshua, Richard and Heather Michael.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Laura Grant.
