Lakeshia Dawn (Woodberry) Durham, age 32, of Cushing, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Covenant Fellowship Church, Cushing, OK. Pastor Robert M. Giddeon, Pastor Robert Adams, and Rev. Raymond Petties will officiate. Interment will follow at Silver Star Cemetery, Cushing, OK.
Lakeshia was born on November 15, 1979 in Cushing, Oklahoma to O.J. Woodberry and Barbra Jean (Prather) Woodberry. She grew up in Cushing and attended Cushing schools, graduating from Cushing High School in 1999. Lakeshia married the love of her life Anthony Eugene Durham on March 15, 2008 at the Covenant Fellowship Church, Cushing. She has attended the Covenant Fellowship Church for the past seven years. Lakeshia enjoyed bowling, fishing, sewing, scrapbooking, working puzzles, crocheting, crafts, attending rodeo’s, football games and traveling. As she grew up she never met a stranger, she made many friends, she never let Spina Bifida get in her way of life. She enjoyed living and even got married. She was very happy and always smiling, she was a really delightful young lady. Lakeshia loved spending time with her family and friends.
Lakeshia is survived by her husband Anthony Eugene Durham of the home, mother Barbra Jean Prather and step-father Richard Miller of Cushing, father Oliver James Woodberry of Midwest City, brothers Jason Lee Woodberry of Cushing and Aaron Jackson of Denver, sisters Amanda Marie Prather of Cushing, Ashley Dawn Allen of Cushing, Sade’ Crawford of Del City, Olivia Crawford of Del City, Kenynia Crawford of Del City, nephew Baxton Lee McCutcheon/Woodberry, and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, grandfathers, uncles, aunts and cousins.
