(Mannford) – Second round action in the Keystone Classic Basketball tournament in Mannford saw one win and one loss for the Cushing Basketball teams.  

Cushing’s Lady Tigers got out to an eight point lead midway through the second half,  but Okmulgee fought back to tie the game late,  then sank a couple of three pointers in the final two minutes to take a 7 point win over Cushing,  47-40.   The Lady Tigers will play Saturday at 11:00 AM in Mannford’s Middle School Gym.

Meanwhile,  the Cushing boys jumped out to a 14 point lead in the first half,  but Victory Christian rallied to make it close late in the closing moments of the the first half,  then jumped to a lead of as many as six before the Tigers were able to get the game even again.  Trailing by one with only 5 seconds left,  Eric Harrison took an inbound pass and hit a three pointer from the left wing as time expired and Cushing escaped with a 48-46 win. 

The Tigers will play Mannford at 12:30PM Saturday at the Mannford High School Gym.   Both games will be broadcast on KUSH.
