In order to recognize and pay tribute to veterans who left high school prior to graduation to serve in World War II, in the Korean War, or in the Vietnam War, a board of education of any independent school district in this state is hereby authorized to grant a diploma of graduation to any veteran who meets the requirements as listed in Section 517.0.2 of the School Laws of Oklahoma 2009. School districts are further encouraged to present such diplomas in conjunction with appropriate Veterans Day programs.

STREET DEPARTMENT SKILLED LABORER
The successful candidate will be able to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work, and operate a variety of equipment in the construction, operation and repair, maintenance and replacement of city street, alleys and drainage rights-of-ways. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibration.
The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or GED equivalent. They must have a valid State Driver’s license and a Class “B” CDL certification with air brake endorsement, or ability to obtain one within the six (6) month probationary period and have a sufficient driving record for City’s insurance carrier.
JOURNEYMAN LINE WORKER
