Jesse Boyd Sampson, Jennings resident, passed away on March 4, 2009 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 66 years.
Jesse was born on August 2, 1942 in Mars, Pennsylvania. He came to Oklahoma at the age of 2 with his parents and family and was raised and educated in Oklahoma.
He was united in marriage to Edith Hettenbach on August 8, 1974 in Hominy, OK.
Jesse had worked several different jobs over the years, but had retired from being a driller in the oilfield.
Survivors include his wife, Edith of the home; two sons, Jackie Boyd Sampson and James William Sampson; three daughters, Tommie Jean Sampson Postoak, Tanja Jo Roberts and Sandra Lynn Walker; nine grandchildren; one sister, Deloris Grunwald; one brother, Melvin James Sampson and other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. in the Church of Christ in Skiatook, OK.
Burial will be held at 3:30 P.M. in the Connerville Cemetery at Connerville, OK.
