(OKLAHOMA CITY) – May 4, 2023 – Jersey Mike’s Subs’ central Oklahoma locations raised $170,705 for the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma’s Food for Kids Programs during the restaurant’s annual Month of Giving fundraiser in March. The 2023 Month of Giving total comes in well above Jersey Mike’s previous record high of $107,825.
During the Month of Giving, 11 locations encouraged customers to donate to the Regional Food Bank’s Food for Kids Programs. The Month of Giving culminates with a Day of Giving where 100% of each store’s proceeds are donated to the Regional Food Bank.
“Jersey Mike’s Subs has managed to go above and beyond once again,” said Stacy Dykstra, chief executive officer of the Regional Food Bank. “We are grateful for their support of our Food for Kids Programs over the years.”
Since 2012, Jersey Mike’s has raised more than $770,000 for the Regional Food Bank’s Food for Kids Programs that include the Backpack Program for elementary school children, the School Pantry Program for middle and high school students, the Kids Café Program for children attending afterschool programs and the Summer Feeding Program that provides free meals and snacks.
“This is such a big deal for Jersey Mike’s both locally and nationally and all of our crews were super excited to be able to participate this year,” said Charlie Brown, franchise owner and area director for Jersey Mike’s. “I want to thank our fantastic customers for supporting our efforts this Month of Giving and for helping us make a huge difference in our community.”
