James Joseph (Jim) Borges age 72 of Jennings, Oklahoma passed away Saturday morning, March 13, 2010 at his home. Memorial services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Oilton, Oklahoma and will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010 in the First Baptist Church at Jennings, Oklahoma
James Joseph Borges was born on December 12, 1937 in French Camp, California and was the son of Elmer and Ida (White) Borges. He grew up in California and served in the United States Navy. He came to Oklahoma 32 years ago and worked as a Truck Driver. On March 30, 1980 he was united in marriage to Joyce King in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He had been a resident of Jennings since 2001. He enjoyed caring for dogs and going to garage sales.
James is survived by his wife Joyce of the home in Jennings; one son, Tony King and wife Evelyn of Troy, Missouri; three daughters, Kathy Everly and husband Jason of Tulsa, Kathy Borges and Vicki Borges, both of California; one brother, Richard Borges and wife Vickie of California; two sisters, Violet Lawrence and Mary Montalvo, both of California; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and a son.
Those who wish may make memorials to the Jim Borges Memorial Fund in care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 800 South Linwood, Cushing, Oklahoma 74023.
