Jacquelyn Elois Davis, 78, returned to the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2010. Born February 24, 1932 in Quay, Oklahoma to James Elmo and Pauline Troxel Edwards. Jackie grew up in Yale, Oklahoma and graduated High School in 1950. She attended Drawns Business School in Oklahoma City and worked for the then WKY as an executive secretary. Jackie moved to Tulsa in the late 60’s and was office manager for Bob Latch Company and later Carnes Construction.
Survivors include her devoted friend and companion Tommy Keys, granddaughter, Rachael Marie, great-grand child and daughter in law, Linda. Brothers James Edwards & wife Wanda of Yale, Don Earl Edwards & wife Mary of Broken Arrow, and sister Jerry Clayman and husband Howard of Edmond; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by two infant sons and son Jefferson E. Davis, her parents James & Pauline Edwards.
Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011 or to the First Baptist Church, Building Fund, Yale, Oklahoma.
Memorial graveside services will be Friday, March 26, 2010 at 11am at the Lawson Cemetery, Yale, Oklahoma.
