Memorial services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Arthur Fox officiating.
Betty was a strong woman who devoted herself to her family and her Lord. She was an active member of the Seventh-Day-Adventist Church for over 60 years. She taught Sabbath school, was involved with the Dorcas ministry and was a Deaconess.  Betty had many hobbies and loved to read, sew, crochet, knit and garden.  She blessed her family and friends with these handmade gifts.  She devoted herself to helping raise her grandchildren, and they are very grateful for the security and comfort she provided.
Betty is preceded in death by Vern, her husband of over 60 years, her son Tony and great-grandson Tommy.  She is survived by her 1 son Jim Hodges of Arizona, 1 daughter Terrie Zamora of Detroit, grandchildren Lynnette Hunter of Oklahoma, Vernette, Tina, Jimmy, Taunia, Todd, Tony all of California, 4 great-grandchildren from Cushing and 16 from California, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
