(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is based on a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A personal injury collision occurred on January 16th (2019) at approximately 6:57 am on the Turner Turnpike westbound at mile marker 162.2, about 4 miles west of Chandler, in Lincoln County.
Escott Lopez (24) was driving a 1997 Ford F150 when an unknown semi (non-contact) changed lanes causing the vehicle he was driving to depart the roadway to the right and go into the ditch overturning approximately two times. According to the DPS report Lopez was ejected from the vehicle along with one of his passengers who was partially ejected.
Lopez was transported by Mediflight to St. Johns Hospital (Tulsa) and was admitted.
Passenger Rudy Reyes (24) of Tulsa was transported by EMSA to OU Medical (OKC) and admitted. A second passenger Eddie Emendozo (41) of Tulsa was transported by EMSA to St. Francis Hospital (Tulsa) where he received treatment and was released.
According to the DPS report the cause of the collision is still under investigation.
