(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A personal injury collision occurred on October 18th (2015) at 05:05 (pm) on Hiwassee Ave., approximately 1/10th mile south of County Road EW73, in the city limits of Langston, in Logan County.
Jason Cowan (22) of Edmond was driving a 2000 Ford F150 going northbound on Hiwassee Avenue but was traveling too fast for road conditions when he departed the roadway to the left and struck a tree on the passenger side.
Cowan was not injured in the collision, however his passenger, Kristina Clark (26), of Bethany, was transported by Air Evac to OU Presbyterian, in Oklahoma City. Clark was admitted in fair condition with trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
The Department of Safety report shows unsafe speed as a factor in the collision.
