(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A personal injury collision occurred on Friday, July 17th (2015) at 3:04 (pm) on Highway 48 approximately three-tenths of a mile south of 271st Street South, 4 miles south of Bristow, in Creek County.
John D. O’hern (54) of Mounds was travelling northbound on State Highway 48 in a 2008 Ford F350 when he passed out due to a medical condition. O’hern departed the roadway right and struck a utility pole, a legally parked unoccupied bus, a fence and a tree before coming to rest.
O’hern was transported by Creek County EMS to Bristow Medical Center and then on to St John (Tulsa) where he was admitted in stable condition for a medical incident.
The DPS report states that a Medical Condition is the cause of the collision.
