(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.
A collision occurred at State Highway 33 and Karsten Creek, 3 miles east of Coyle in Payne County.
Jacob Walling (29) of Oklahoma City was driving a Ford F150 when he departed the roadway to the right striking the Ford F150 that Sally Relyea (50) of Stillwater was driving. Relyea was parked on the shoulder and had exited her vehicle to change a tire on the rear passenger side. Ashley Sager (25) of Cushing was standing behind the driver. Both Relyea and Sager were struck by an unknown object.
Walling was not injured. Relyea was transported by LifeNet to Stillwater Medical Center where she was admitted in stable condition with head injuries; her passenger, Sager, was transported by LifeNet to Stillwater Medical Center where she was treated and released.
The DPS report shows inattentive driving to be the cause of the accident.
