(Cushing, Okla.) Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a traffic accident happened on December 25 (2014) on State Highway 15 at County Road 34100 in Pawnee County. The time that the accident occurred was 6:37 (a.m.).
Russell Lee Hazlip (24) of Pawnee was driving a 2007 Toyota eastbound on State Highway 15 when it exited the roadway to the left. Hazlip over corrected and reentered the roadway (according to OHP reports) then exited the roadway to the right hitting a fence and rolling 3 times. Hazlip was ejected an unknown distance.
Hazlip was transported by Air-Evac to Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he was admitted in critical condition.
According to OHP reports the cause of the accident was due to apparently being sleepy.
Seat-belts were not in use.
