(Cushing, Okla.) If you haven’t visited the City of Cushing website lately, you may be surprised at the amount of information now available. One topic of great importance to local citizens and travelers is the plan to improve Highway 33 through Cushing.
The City of Cushing has been working with ODOT (Oklahoma Department of Transportation) for some time now to improve the intersections at Little Avenue and Linwood Avenue. Improvements to Highway 33 in Cushing are currently scheduled for 2018, but could be moved up.
The City is currently studying the feasibility of the addition of a turn lane at those intersections and the possibility of a 5th lane when the Highway is reconstructed.
City leaders welcome input from citizens as they work toward a decision.
