Humility
“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2
I am at an age where I am thankful the mirror is steamed over when I get out of the shower. Have you ever experienced a time when you did not like what you saw in the mirror?
The Bible tells us we are to humble ourselves before the Lord. Humility is proper respect for God and all of His creation. When we put ourselves down we are not giving proper respect to God. It is not necessarily easy to see ourselves through the eyes of our Creator. Remember that God does not make junk.
If we are willing to invest in others we will begin to see value in ourselves. We all want to see an increase in our investments. By investing in people we will produce a good return. After you do something for someone, pat yourself on the back.
Prayer for the day: God, allow me to be the flesh of Your Son, Jesus, to someone else today.
