Hubert Douglas Lee, former Cushing resident now of Oklahoma City, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Oklahoma City at the age of 83 years.

The son of the late Ephriam Lee and Lucile Earley Lee, Hubert was born on January 14, 1931 in Cushing, where he was raised and educated.

He was united in marriage to Lena Wilkerson whom preceded him in death.

Hubert was retired as a school custodian. He attended the Baptist Church. Hubert enjoyed western movies, especially Gunsmoke, homemade ice-cream; Coke-Cola and collected Coke-Cola memorabilia. Hubert was a very patriotic man, honoring the flag of his country and his fellow countrymen.

Survivors include his five children, Roy Crandell, John McPherson, Sherry Thomas, Diane Schofner and Hubert Lee, Jr., all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; thrirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, V. Venus Lee of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, Hubert was preceded in death by six siblings, James Lee, Robert Lee, Joseph Lee, Margaret Wilson, Wanda Cable and Elvina DeFord.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

Serving as casket bearers will be David Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Marcas Santillan, Jonathan Sarabia, John McPherson, and Kevin Evans.
