It was Homecoming night for Chandler, but nothing held distraction in the eyes of the lions.

After Prague kicked off and stopped Joe Hernandez at the 30 as soon as he caught the ball, fans from both sides thought they were in for a tug of war.

Johnny Morton scored with a little over seven minutes left in the first quarter and the ball started rolling in Chandler’s favor. The lion’s defense was there, forcing Prague to punt in the following drive.

Senior quarterback Jack Gray ran one in himself after taking over on downs towards the end of the first quarter.

The score was 21-0 by the time half time rolled around and Chandler ran away with it in the third and fourth quarter making the final score 57 to 16. Gray completed 11 out of 14 passes for 245 yards, along with a touchdown.

Next week should be a challenge for Chandler, as they hit the road to battle Beggs.
