(Cushing, Okla.) It was an evening of tough competition at Cushing High School Tuesday evening as the CHS softball program hosted the Second Annual Cinderfella contest.
Cinderfella contestants with names such as Miss Rosey Cheeks, Miss Hedda Lettuce and Miss Karaz Matic donned on sparkling evening dresses, high heeled shoes and make-up trying to catch the eye of the panel of judges. Stakes were high for this competition – $25 to the second runner up, $50 to the first runner up and a whopping $75 to the 2012 Cinderfella winner herself…uh…himself. Contestants displayed an array of talents – from singing to dancing to even a little stand-up comedy. And typical to pageants, the evening gown and talent competitions were followed by an on-stage question read by Don Amon – emcee for the evening.
The coveted title of Cinderfella Winner 2012 went to Holly Lujha (Keifer Mackey) for her/his masterful display of style and personality, interesting ballet interpretation and concern for the world.
First runner up was Miss Dinna Soar (Josh Flavell) and second runner up went to Miss Orna Mint (Clayton Fields).

Totals were not yet in for this year’s fundraiser. However, the tongue-in-cheek “beauty”pageant was a huge success in 2011 netting Cushing Lady Tiger softball team $3,000 in funds that were used to purchase things such as new uniforms for the team.
Footnote from the team:
The Cushing Lady Tiger softball team would sincerely like to thank everyone for coming and supporting our fundraiser. We would also like to especially thank the contestants, the judges, Mr. Amon and Mrs. Reese for all you have done. The success of this pageant would not be possible without you.
