Dr. Alexei Prytkov arrived at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing as the new Director of the Emergency Department.  Upon his arrival, he was surprised that the Emergency Department did not have an up-to-date ultrasound.  In fact, the one that was available needed replaced several years ago.  Many times, the Emergency Department depended upon the Surgery Department for this piece of equipment.  If surgery was using it, the Emergency Department had to “warm up” the one in their possession.  The old one “worked” but not at pace that was needed in the Emergency Department.

Dr. Prytkov and Dr. Mann met with the CRH Foundation Board to request the ultrasound.  The CRH Foundation quickly voted in favor of purchasing the machine.  It is the Foundation’s goal to keep HHC up to the highest standards possible.  Dr. Prytkov stated in his request that this is a piece of equipment that hospitals keep available on a regular bases.

The Ultrasound arrived the first week of July and Dr. Prytkov returned from vacation to open and display the needed piece of equipment.
