(Cushing, Okla.) Oklahoma Project Woman (OPW) is dedicated to providing access to breast health care that will facilitate the early diagnosis of breast cancer and decrease the mortality rate for uninsured women with limited financial resources. It is a statewide non-profit program for men and women that do not have health insurance.
Oklahoma Project Woman has contracts with clinics and hospitals as well as radiology, surgical, anesthesia and pathology groups across Oklahoma. In order to qualify for the program, you must be an Oklahoma resident, have no private health insurance, Medicare or Medicaid and meet the program income guidelines.
Hillcrest is one of the participating hospitals. Shana Lamons and Denise Senger were guest speakers at the Auxiliary Education Room on Tuesday, April 14. Their goal was to speak with Utica Park Clinic representatives about how to enroll their patients in the Oklahoma Project Woman Program.
It is of utmost importance that each clinic and their employees understand the value of spreading the availability of these funds.
