Cushing, OK (May 14, 2019) – Hillcrest Cushing was named one of Modern Healthcare’s 150 Best Places to Work in Healthcare for 2019. This is the hospital’s second time to make the list – the first time being in 2017. Hillcrest Cushing is one of seven Oklahoma health care organizations on the 2019 list, and six of the seven organizations are part of Hillcrest HealthCare System.
The recognition program honors workplaces throughout the health care industry that empower their employees to provide patients with the best possible care and services. A ranked order will be revealed at an awards dinner Sept. 26 in Dallas during Modern Healthcare’s Workplace of the Future Conference.

When we made the announcement that we were selected again, there were a range of emotions expressed across the facility. It is a reflection of how our employees feel about working at Hillcrest Cushing. I’m proud of our employees and how they strive to give their best to our patients every day.”
According to Modern Healthcare, organizations making this year’s list of Best Places to Work in Healthcare stand out in their efforts to create an empowered and satisfied workforce by nurturing a sense of loyalty and building engagement within the hospitals.
Hillcrest Cushing fosters a positive work environment through offering creative ways to engage its team members and the community. Recently, the hospital held employee town halls in “The Tonight Show” style, featuring community talk show guests. Throughout the year, Hillcrest Cushing sponsors local events and is currently holding a stuffed animal drive for pediatric patients.
The six Hillcrest hospitals and physician groups to make the list are Hillcrest Cushing, Bailey Medical Center in Owasso, Hillcrest Henryetta, Hillcrest Pryor, Oklahoma Heart Institute and Tulsa Spine & Specialty Hospital.
