Cushing, Oklahoma (June 25, 2019) – Hillcrest Cushing awarded college scholarships to four Cushing High School students, Ariya Regnier, Dakota Norman, Jalea Martin and Tyler Hale.

For more than seven years, Hillcrest Cushing has presented scholarships to local students. The hospital is pleased to award these four commendable students, the largest group Hillcrest Cushing has selected, each with a $500 scholarship to pursue their higher education.

“By granting scholarships to local students, we are creating more opportunity and a better future for our community,” said Kevin Hawk, CEO of Hillcrest Cushing. “It is our privilege to support these young adults as they further their education.”

Hale is enrolled in the interactive multimedia program at Central Technology Center. In the fall, he will attend Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond where he will be a part of the gaming and animation program. Hale hopes to become an animator for a gaming company or major animation group.

Martin will attend Coffeyville Community College. She is undecided on a career path, but believes she wants to work in health care support.

“My overall goal is to find a career that I love with the opportunity to grow in that field,” Martin said.

Norman will attend Oklahoma State University and plans to major in theatre. Norman’s long-term career goal is to become a professional actor and work in the arts.

Regnier will attend Oklahoma Christian University and plans to become a nurse practitioner with a goal of opening a pediatric clinic in Cushing.

“I want to give back and contribute to my community any way I can,” Regnier said.
