Regional chicken concept continues strategic growth supporting long-time franchisees

(Cushing, Okla) –Texas-based Golden Chick is continuing to expand its presence in the Sooner State with the latest in a series of strategic openings over the last year. Located at 1544 E Main St., the restaurant occupies a premier location off a bustling main road making it conveniently situated for a quick lunch spot and end of day dinner pickup. The new restaurant is the brand’s 16th location within the state of Oklahoma.
SXThree, the franchise group led by long-time Golden Chick franchisees Jim Stevens and Scott Stevenson, will own and operate the new Cushing location. This latest addition is the 15th location in the organization’s portfolio. With four more in the pipeline to open before the end of 2023, the group continues to position itself as an invaluable member of Golden Chick’s franchisee community.

The Cushing restaurant aligns with plans to achieve 10% overall store count growth before the end of December and is the 11th Golden Chick to open this year. In pursuit of this historical benchmark, the Texas-based chicken concept has strategically planned this year’s steady expansion to break records for the 56-year-old brand. While based in Texas, Golden Chick is continually adding locations across other states and is set to break into new markets in Louisiana and Mississippi in the near future.
Guests are welcome to stop by the new Golden Chick location starting Friday, Oct. 6, 2023 to try out classic Golden Chick favorites like the iconically crispy Golden Tenders® and Big & Golden® Chicken Sandwich. Now through Oct. 29, Golden Chick will also be offering past fan favorites that deliver on both sweet and spicy: Wicked Wings and Mini Funnel Cakes. The hand-breaded, bone-in Wicked Wings remain available amid rave customer reviews. The State Fair-inspired Mini Funnel Cakes not only taste good but do good too, with 50 cents from each order going to DonorsChoose, which benefits children and teachers in each stores’ local schools.
