Glenn A. Campbell, a longtime Drumright resident, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in the Drumright Nursing Home at the age of 94 years.
Graveside services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Cushing, OK and will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2011 in the Carney Cemetery with Pastor Robert Adams and Pastor Jaime Austin officiating.
The son of the late Archie Campbell and Ella (Altmeyer) Campbell, Glenn was born on May 25, 1917 in Furley, KS. He was raised in Wichita, graduating from Wichita North High School with the class of 1934. Glenn later served in the Air Force during WWII and after returning home he was united in marriage to Jackie Sadler on April 27, 1946 in Lions, KS.
Glenn was a employee for City Services Gas Company for 38 years. He began working for them in Wichita, KS. and also in Texas, Missouri and in 1968 he transferred to Drumright, OK where he and his wife Jackie continued to live until his death.
Glenn loved working in his vegetable garden and sharing his crop with his family. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife Jackie of the home and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
