(Glencoe, Okla) — According to OHP reports a traffic accident occurred around 4:39 (pm) Sunday afternoon on Clay Road 3/10 of a mile north of Yost Road (1.7 miles south and 5 miles east of Glencoe city limits) in Payne County.
Kevin Wayne Treat (53) of Glencoe was driving a Kawasaki 3-wheeler (vehicle year unknown) when he failed to yield to Earl Leroy Ryan Jr (62) of Pawnee. Ryan was driving a 2009 Ford pickup.
The Kawasaki was hit when it pulled out of a private drive failing to yield to the 2009 Ford pickup truck. The truck was southbound on Clay Road.
Treat was transported by EagleMed to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa in stable condition with head, arm, and trunk internal injuries. Ryan and his passenger Stetson Lane Coe (age unknown) of Glencoe was not injured.
Seat-belts and airbags were not equipped or in use on the Kawasaki. However, seat-belts where equipped and in use in the 2009 Ford pickup truck. Airbags did deploy on the pickup truck on both the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle.
