Georgia Lea Slater, born in Yale resident, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. at the age of 55 years.
Graveside services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK and will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday in the Lawson Cemetery, Yale, OK.
Georgia was born on September 17, 1959 to the late Junior Lee (Bugs) Slater, and Dora (Derr) Covey. Georgia attended school in the Oklahoma City area, she enjoyed watching birds especially hummingbirds, collecting light houses, and most of she enjoyed fishing with family. Georgia loved spending time with her grandchildren, her nieces and nephews. Her greatest enjoyment was taking care of everybody she could, her grandkids and all her family.
Georgia is Survived he mother Dora Covey, two daughters: Jessica Eyman, Chastity Cofer and husband Les, one step – daughter: Cheryl Roberts, three brothers: Charles Slater and wife Virginia, Elmer Radford, George Wiemer and wife Kathy, one sister: Christine Buie and husband Dewayne, four grandchildren: Anthony Eyman, Ashley Burris, Jordan Burris, and Ryan Hixson.
She is preceded in death by her father Junior (Bugs) Slater, ex husband William “Billy” Eyman, DWE Covey.
