CUSHING LIONS CLUB members and guests wore Hawaiian shirts and were treated to a LUAU at their regular noon meeting Tuesday, Sept. 8th. With a specially-created cake from Escotts’ Bakery of a delightful PIG HEAD complete with separate ‘back section’ and curly tail, Lion’s enjoyed a delicious luncheon of baked ham, candied yams with pineapple and fruit, salad and pineapple upside down cake. The Lion’s Den was decorated with an ‘ALOHA’ theme and members and guests were necklaced with Hawaiian leis when they entered.
Lion Tom Cummings gave awards and prizes for Best-Dressed, Most Spirited and special Thank You awards to the great cooks at the Lion’s Den.
