Cimarron Healthcare Center opened their doors once again to furnish students from Cushing Middle School and Cushing High School free sports physicals. Students were bused in from both schools throughout the afternoon on Friday, allowing plenty of time for staff at CHC to complete the screening and examination process. Approximately 15 members of the CHC staff were there to give a hand where needed.
Each year Dr. Ike Hubbard organizes this event as a service to the community and particularly the sports programs. Last year 170 physicals were conducted at the clinic, this year 179 students were seen between 1:30 and 5 p.m. on Friday.
According to CHC representative Robin Dunaway, the students were remarkably well-behaved and things went smoothly. “We were really pleased,” Dunaway said.
