Fred Robinson of Oak Grove Community passed away suddenly at his home on Monday January 5, 2015. He believed that we were meant to serve our fellow men and in the power of prayer. He lived his faith. We are proud to call him husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn of the home, Sons: Fred and Sharon Robinson of Rochester, MN, (Grandchildren Ryan and Nicole Robinson, Kelsey & Nick Wilson, great grandchild Kensington Wilson all of Minneapolis), Lonnie and Beth Robinson of Conway AR (grandchildren JeanAnn & Ryan Dunaway, and Josh Robinson of Conway, AR), James Everett and Rhys Robinson-Pugh of Gracemont, OK Kenny and Tammy Robinson of Cushing, OK, Barbara Robinson sister in-law, (Grandchildren KG and Darci Robinson of Perkins, Dustin Boos, Kayla Boos, and Derek Robinson of Cushing), Sisters Dora Stewart of Tuttle, OK, Lee Baker and Wilma Payne of Oklahoma City. He was also blessed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Fred worked/owned gas stations in Pawnee, Tonkawa and Ripley before he and Marilyn started running Robinson Apco for 42 years in the Oak grove community near Drumright. They retired in 2006. In retirement he enjoyed visiting friends and family and working with the Men’s Work group and Church Camp of the Church of the Brethren. Besides Fred’s family and church his other joy was listening to some of God’s sweetest music, his hunting dogs running game. Starting with chasing coon and bobcat early in his life, to coyote hunting, to chasing deer in the swamps of Louisiana, to watching and listening to his beagles chase rabbits during his later years. He enjoyed the chase and also the fellowship of his hunting buddies. A special thanks to Joe & Jane Frazier who enabled Fred to enjoy rabbit hunting even after his stroke earlier this year.
As a wise man said “Pray toward heaven but, row toward shore”P.S. Overalls will be appropriate attire at the memorial service.
