(Cushing, Okla.) Filings for Cushing Board of Commissioners closed Wednesday at 4 p.m. According to City Clerk Jerrica Kahle, four men have thrown their hats into the ring to vie for Seats 1 and 2 – two for each.
Incumbent Evert Rossiter and Trace Rowe have filed as candidates for Seat #1 and Brent Thompson and Jim Hogrefe have filed for Seat #2.
It is the second time Rowe has run for commissioner and the first for Thompson. Hogrefe was elected in 2008 and served until 2014 after losing Seat #5 by a narrow margin to Don Amon.
Rossiter has served on the commission for three consecutive terms.
The general election is scheduled for April 7, 2015.
