(Stillwater, Okla.) — A former Cushing man, who now reportedly lives in Perkins, was charged Monday with violating the Sex Offender Registration Act in a case investigated by the Payne County Sheriff’s Office.
Adrian Feliciano McVay-Shanklin, 30, was living in Cushing in 2020 when he was charged with lewd or indecent acts to a child in Carney, Lincoln County court records show.
McVay-Shanklin, who had been scheduled to stand trial in Lincoln County, instead pleaded guilty to the charge on June 9, 2021, court records show.
As part of a plea bargain with the prosecution, McVay-Shanklin was sentenced to one year in the Lincoln County Jail, with credit for time served, followed by four years of probation.
McVay-Shanklin was ordered to comply with the sex offender registry and perform 40 hours of community service, court records show.
