Cushing’s police and fire departments were quick on the scene of a two-car accident Saturday afternoon. The accident occurred at the intersection of Independence and 2nd Street in Cushing.
The accident report indicated the white Explorer driven by Richard Dennis of Pryor was traveling east on 2nd Street when it failed to stop at the stop sign. It then struck the Chevrolet driven by Nicole Peterson (who was traveling south on Independence) and landed on its side.
Luckily, there were no reports of serious injuries.
