(Cushing) – Five people have filed for two seats up for election in the City of Cushing, and a primary election will take place in one of the races. Both incumbents, Cushing Mayor John Henckel and Commissioner Tommy Johnson filed for re-election. Henckel will face his next door neighbor, F. Carey Seigle in the General election in April, while Johnson will face James Ree and Ray Singley in the March 2nd Primary.
The filing period closed Wednesday.
