After 24 years on the “Hometown Team,” Willetta Shields retired from her position as John Bryant’s right-hand man…er woman.
Folks were invited to stop by Friday morning and say good-bye to Shields.
When asked how she felt about her last day at the bank, Shields said, “Well, it’s a little sad leaving everyone here, but I’m really looking forward to my retirement.”
One of the things she is looking forward to doing again – besides the typical “sleeping in” – involves a small aircraft, a pretty day and a parachute.
“I’m going skydiving again,” Shields said smiling. “That was awesome.”
