(Stillwater, Okla.) — An ex-convict from Stillwater — who was paroled five and one-half years ago — has been given two concurrent 12-year prison terms for two separate charges of possession of methamphetamine.
Robert Earl Johnson Sr., 48, was sentenced last week by District Judge Phillip Corley in accordance with a plea bargain under which he was given a concurrent 10-year prison term for being a felon in possession of three guns.
The judge ordered that Johnson, a convicted robber and repeat drug offender, be given substance abuse treatment in prison.
In both of his drug cases in 2013, Johnson was arrested at his residence in the 7600 block of E. 4th Street in Stillwater by Payne County Sheriff’s Deputy Dan Nack, court records show.
In 1998, Johnson was convicted of robbery by force and fear in Payne County, for which he was apparently originally given 15 years’ probation that was changed in 2004 to seven years of incarceration followed by eight years of probation, state Department of Corrections records show.
In 1998, Johnson was also convicted of drug delivery in Payne County, for which he was apparently given 15 years’ probation that was changed in 2004 to seven years of incarceration followed by eight years of probation, DOC records show.
In 2004, Johnson was convicted of two separate charges of drug possession in Payne County, in 2002 and 2003 for which he was given two concurrent seven-year prison terms — on which he was paroled after serving about four years, DOC records show.
In 2008, Johnson was convicted of marijuana possession in Payne County for which he was placed on two years’ probation, court records show.
