(Cushing, Okla.) Enbridge has truly been a community partner since it came to Cushing. They have led the way in providing donations to purchase items to improve health care in the Cimarron Valley Region. Each year they make a substantial monetary donation to purchase equipment for the Hillcrest Hospital Cushing. Since beginning their donations, they have donated over $100,000 to improve healthcare in Cushing.
Over the past 12 months, Enbridge has donated to the Foundation to support the Paramedic Scholarships and assisted in funding the Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon. In December they gave $7200 to assist in purchasing 3 EKG machines. With their donation, the CRH Foundation Board voted to partner with them and voted to add an additional $7800 so a total of 3 machines could be purchased.
Currently, there are 3 EKG machines in the entire hospital. With the 3 new machines, a patient with chest pains can be treated quickly. A 90 minute window is the most important time in successful treatment. With extra machines, a decision on the patient’s treatment can be made in a few short minutes.
One of the new EKG machines will be placed in the Emergency Department and the others will be placed in the Lab.
