(Cushing, Okla) Lion Bob Noltensmeyer (Emergency Management Director for Cushing) along with Jeff Kuhn (Director of Payne County Emergency Management) and Chuck Kerns (Oklahoma Emergency Management Area Coordinator) visited with us at Lions Club today about Emergency Management on the local, county and state levels.
Noltensmeyer stated that locally he will use resources like talking to the neighborhood through the siren system, sending out Nixle updates and notifying KUSH Radio so they can get the word out to the community.
Cowboy Cadillac pins were handed out to several members of the Lions Club for participating in the ticket sales an raising $1,196 of which goes to Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch, Oklahoma Lions Eye Bank, and the Mobile Health Screening Unit (MHSU).
Cushing Lions Club meets each Tuesday at noon in the Lions Den in downtown Cushing.
