Edward “Big Ed” Pratt, passed away early Friday, November 25, 2011 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 76 years.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, OK and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 2, 2011 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Vogele officiating.
The son of the late Mabel Marie and Monte Wade Pratt, Ed was born in Catron, Missouri on June 24, 1935.
He was united in marriage to Betty Jane (Lynch) in Cushing, OK on March 3, 2006.
Survivors include his wife Betty of the home in Cushing; five children, Carolyn, Patty, Eddie, Ricky, and Sherry; five siblings, Glowdin Miller of Kokomo, Indiana, Louise Lee of California, Charlie Pratt of California, Betty Harris of Fenton, Missouri, and Dorothy Mantle of Hazelwood Missouri; several grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends;
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by eight siblings which included six sisters, two infant sisters whom died at birth, Glendola Harrisan, Jennie Aldridge, Mary Ann Allen, and Della Mae Dunivan and, two brothers Walter Pratt and Richard Pratt.
Ed loved his family, fishing, hunting, mountain music, OU sports, and the River of Life Christian Church in Drumright. He was especially close to his grandchildren, especially Amber, Tara, and Vincent.
Ed worked in farming in his younger years and worked for Libby Glass Company for 25 years.
