(Drumright, Okla.) KUSH received word that Drumright has implemented State of Emergency water rationing due to a need to replenish water supplies after the recent fires and continued drought conditions.
Water supplies are down and many transmission lines were destroyed due to the fires.
Until further notice Drumright area residents must NOT water outside – in-home use only!
That means:
NO WATERING DOWN YOUR HOMES
NO WATERING DOWN YOUR FOUNDATIONS
NO WATERING OF LAWNS
NO WATERING OF GARDENS
NO WATERING OF FLOWER BEDS OR PLANTS
NO WASHING OF CARS
NO FILLING OF POOLS
Anyone caught disobeying will be subject to a $500 fine.
It is imperative citizens obey so that water supplies can be replenished.
In a news release yesterday, Cushing urged its residents to voluntarily limit water use so their supplies can be replenished.
