Downtown Cushing’s board of directors and volunteers continue to gather goods and services to be offered at the May 3rd Piccadilly Auction.

The most recent items to be contributed to the cause are: an outdoor photography ‘safari’ with Tom Cummings to a local area location of choice, gift card from Naifeh’s Deli, half page ad in either the Cushing Citizen or Cimarron Valley Citizen- your choice, handmade crocheted bed spread from Mila’s Fabrics, a new quilt and tiffany style table lamp from the Corner Shed, a gift cards from Lauri’s Beauty Salon, gift card from Rita at Lauri’s Beauty Salon, wine from Tidal Vineyards, Benjamin Moore paint from Cushing Lumber, one month unlimited body toning sessions from Beverly Darling at Beau Monde, one year’s membership to the Cushing Youth and Community Center courtesy William Ahrberg, 100 minutes of tanning from Cutter’s Edge, die cast 1965 model car, a Shelby Mustang from O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, one new designer bathroom faucet from Vassar’s Plumbing and Hardware, movie passes from the Dunkin Theatre and other items.

Those wishing to make a tax deductible contribution of new items to the auction will be provided receipts for your contribution upon request.

The auction with a buffet style barbecue dinner will take place from 6-9 pm on Saturday, May 3rd at the Cushing -Drumright Elk’s Lodge east of Cushing.

Sean Kelly of KUSH radio will be the guest auctioneer.

A PICCADILLY AUCTION more closely resembles a raffle as the amount of the bid ($1 generally) is set by the auctioneer. Those interested in an item put their money and number in the pot and the winning number receives the item. Multiple bids may be placed.

All proceeds go toward Downtown Cushing Main Street’s work of revitalizing Downtown Cushing.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Tickets are $20 each and are available at the following locations : SpiritBank, Bank of Cushing, Cushing Chamber of Commerce, Mila’s Fabrics, Mind Trips and the Corner Shed.
