Best Interior Design- David and Myra Reid for their new upper story loft apartment.
Best Signage- Mila’s/Lauri’s for their new signs on their shared business front…..
and the Bank of Cushing for their Carved Cowboy Statue/Sign carved from an old pecan tree that died last year.
Best Business Practices- Stu’s Music for staying open later to accomodate customers and for their on- line affiliation with Musician’s Friend the online industry giant.

Best Public Improvement- Centennial Park
Volunteer of the Year-Tom Cummings
Board Member of the Year- Lynda Cummings
Best Adaptive Reuse project- Neuvo Vallarta Mexican Restaurant , combining the ground floor of the old Marquette/Story Hotel into three dining areas.
Downtown Business of the Year- Aqua Pleasures for all they have done for Downtown Cushing
Main Street Hero- Glynn and Sandy McCauley for their commitment to Downtown Cushing, providing an excellent model for other property owners to follow.
A special recognition – the Sleeping Giant- award goes to Ahrberg Milling. They quietly go about their business largely hidden from downtown yet only two blocks away.
Technical Achievement Award- The Dunkin Theatre (and Carmike Cinemas) for going digital in late 2007.
