(Oklahoma City)- A bill authored by State Representative Lee Denney(R-Cushing) has advanced from the House General Government and Transportation Committee and now goes to the full House of Representatives.
The measure would revise regulations pertaining to the towing of semi-tractor rigs, and was inspired by a local tow truck operator being ticketed for being over weight and length limits while towing a disabled big rig. Jim Wilson says the ticket was later dismissed.
Denney says the exemption is similar to one in place in Texas. Committee members forwarded the bill on Monday.
