(Cushing) –  State Representative Lee Denney (R)-Cushing and State Senator Jim Halligan (R)-Stillwater went opposite ways on their vote on the Official State Rock Song.  Both lawmakers spoke at the Cushing Chamber of Commerce Legislative Luncheon on Friday at the Cushing Country Club.  The two were asked about the controversy over the song by The Flaming Lips,  and the resolution which failed after a vote in the State House of Representatives.   (The resolution was approved by the Senate).

Donna Judd, of KUSH was at the luncheon and asked Denney and Halligan about their votes.
