(Stillwater, Okla.) — On May 25 at 2:26 p.m., a citizen who had been walking in the area of the Kameoka Trail north of 12th Ave. observed what appeared to be a deceased male submerged in the creek and notified the Stillwater Police Department. Stillwater Police Officers arrived minutes later and located a deceased male at the edge of the creek. The Stillwater Fire Department assisted in the removal of the subject from the water.

The Stillwater Police Dept. Criminal Investigations Unit and the State Medical Examiners Office began their investigation to determine the subject’s identity as well as the cause and manner of his death.

On Tuesday the Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified the man using his fingerprints. The subject was identified as 47 year old Stillwater resident Paul Ivy Graves.

The investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding Mr. Graves’ death continues and an autopsy report is pending. At this time there no evidence of foul play.
