Darren Lee Easley, age 45 of Kapa’a, Kauai, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, July 17th, 2014, while surrounded by family. Darren was born December 30, 1968 in Cushing, OK to Everette and Charlotte Easley, also of Cushing. Darren attended Cushing public schools and graduated with his class in 1987. He then studied a stint at Langston University in Oklahoma as well as John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR.
Darren enjoyed travel and spent a number of his years working with Northwest Airlines in Fayetteville, AR. Darren spread his own wings and landed in aesthetically stunning cities such as Seattle, Washington and Kauai Hawaii. While there, he worked for US Airways and eventually settled in at FedEx.
Darren was preceded in death by his older sister, Janette Kay Easley and his father, Everett Lee Easley. Darren is survived by his mother Charlotte Kay Easley of Stillwater, OK; a brother, Michael Dwayne Easley of Oklahoma City, OK; Timothy Paul Easley and his wife Tabbitha Easley of Siloam Springs, AR; and several nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to the facilities, caregivers, family and friends who walked alongside Darren on his final journey. He had a hungry eye for beauty and was a generous, gentle soul, beloved by all. Our hearts find consolation in how deeply loved and adored Darren was, by so many.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 26th at 1pm to 4pm at the Cushing High School Field House located at 1700 East Walnut in Cushing, OK. Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Darren’s life together.
