Dale Williams, age 87 a longtime business owner, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in Cushing.  Funeral services will be held on 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2009 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah, Oklahoma.

Dale was born on March 6, 1922 in Ripley, Oklahoma to the late Roy and Edith (Cattron) Williams.  He grew up and attended school in Ripley.  He served his country in the US Navy during World War II, where he built torpedoes while stationed in Hawaii.  He made the trip back home aboard the battleship Texas on its last voyage.   Dale married the love of his life Edwina Beets on March 14, 1946 in Springfield, Missouri, and to this union, one son, Johnny Dale was born.  They made their home in Cushing.  Together, they built the Red Barn.  He was a longtime Christian, having Bible studies, sharing the gospel, witnessing and evangelizing with others.  Dale loved to read and study the Bible.  He was very generous to others and loved to contribute to various charities.  The love of his life passed away on October 9, 2003, they were married over 50 years, and in his heart they would be forever married.  Talking about his wife was his greatest joy even to this day.

Dale is survived by his daughter-in-law:  Char Williams of Cushing, brother-in-laws:  Wayne Beets of Tulsa, Carter Bates of Broken Arrow, grandsons Jayme Williams and wife Carrie of Cushing, Jason Williams and wife Lori of Cushing, Jared Williams of Oklahoma City, great-grandchildren Jaymen, Carley, Jordan, Hannah, Jay, Macy, Jacey and Jonney.  Aunt: Morene Williams of Cushing, numerous nephews and nieces, including his nephew Glenn Williams and wife Sue of Cushing.  Also a longtime friend and employee Louise Easley.

He was preceded in death by his wife Edwina, son Johnny Dale Williams, three brothers Ralph, Glenn and Raymond Williams.
