Dale Harrison Alsip, a former Oilton resident now of Chouteau, passed away on Monday evening, June 1, 2009 near Chouteau at the age of 70 years.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Oilton, OK and will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2009 in the Oak Hill Cemetery Chapel with burial to follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Mannford, OK.
The son of the late Buzz Alsip and Lillie (Deatherage) Alsip, Dale was born near Jennings, OK on September 6, 1938.  He was reared and educated in the Oilton area.
Dale had worked for the M.K.T. Rail Road for over 30 years before it was sold to Union Pacific Rail Road.  While working for the rail road Dale lived in several communities including, Parsons, KS, Dallas, TX, and Denison, TX.  He had worked as a road master and eventually retired in 2001 while living in Muskogee, OK.
He was united in marriage to Marlene Stasiof on May 14, 2004 in Eureka Springs, AR.  Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Chouteau, OK.  In his spare time Dale enjoyed watching birds, reading, and watching sports including boxing and bull riding.  Dale will be remembered as an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife Marlene Alsip of the home; children, Tim Alsip and his wife Tammy of Chouteau, Russell Alsip and his wife Terri of Chouteau, Sheryl Massart and her husband Irving of Glen Rose, TX, Debra Alsip of Ft. Worth, TX, Earl Gregory and his wife Sherri of Acworth, Georgia, Larry Gregory of Acworth, Georgia, Pauline Pitts and her husband Tim of Collinsville, OK, and Annette Cleveland and her husband Mike of Sapulpa, OK; one brother, Donnie Alsip of Perry, OK; one sister Thelma Martin and her husband Denzel of Oilton, OK; 22 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by one son, Mike Alsip and one sister, Billie Robinson.
