(Cushing, Okla) — The Lachenmeyer Arts Center is pleased to announce the exhibition “Cushing’s Art Teachers”. The art show will run September 8 – 21, 2023. There will be an opening reception Friday, September 8, 5:00 -8:00 p.m.
The exhibition will include work from Mariah Myers, Cushing High School art teacher and Betty Bowen Hancock from Cushing Middle School. Also, in the show is art work from MJ Henderson Smith, retired CHS art teacher and Rob Smith, Director of the Lachenmeyer Arts Center.
The art show will consist of oil and acrylic paintings from Mariah Myers and oil & cold wax painting from Betty Bowen Hancock. MJ Henderson Smith will have silver & turquoise jewelry and hand painted silk scarf. Rob Smith will be displaying relief prints from wood cuts.
The Lachenmeyer Arts Center is located inside the Cushing Youth & Community Center at 700 S. Little Ave. Gallery hours for the exhibit will be 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday & Friday and 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
